I live about 2 miles south of Cave Junction. That is the sw corner of Oregon, about 11 or 12 miles from the cally border by paved road, mucho less by dirt road. It's pretty enough here I guess,at least I'm in the mountains, but as a whole,we would both rather be home in NYS.All of our family is back there, and to tell the truth, the food here SUX.It really does.I don't like the rain all winter long,we both found we prefer the snow instead,so why stay when we both can't stand it here?

Toxic Sludge comes from a beautiful part of NYS, an area I think is more scenic then SW Oregon. He may be close enough to the coast to not have a problem, but I had poison oak the entire seven years I worked in the woods down there. If you get poison oak, SW Oregon is not the place to go recreate except for fishing and rafting.

I went to college in Syracuse, and learned to hate shoveling snow. But with kids, grandkids, and snowblowers, it would be a great place to live.

Make that kids/grandkids/and a new JD diesel tractor with a loader. From experience I have found that a frontend loader is more versatile year round then a snowblower attachment. It takes a bit longer but I have all the time in the world to "git er done".

Poison oak is a big problem here even where I live.I fortunately have never had it.When taking care of our property I'm sitting on top of a Branson 3510 tractor with a loader and a 6 ft.brush hog for mowing.Homey may be old,but homey ain't dumb
