By Frontier India | August 20th, 2010 | Category: Business | No Comments »

“Mahindra’s relationship with Global Vehicles Inc (GV) has ended, the agreement dated 26th September 2006 between Mahindra and GV having terminated,” says the Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) press note.

US based Global Vehicles and M&M had entered into an exclusive distributorship agreement for the importation of M&M’s automotive product portfolio to the U.S. market.

Both have been involved in lawsuits and counter lawsuits. Global vehicles first sued Mahindra in June, for delaying the launch of the Scorpio PickUp and claimed that it had spent approximately US$35 million for preparing for the launch of Mahindra’s UVs in the US and had signed up with as many as 360 dealers nationwide.

What about this press release on Mahindra's own website? http://mediacube.mahindra.com/Latest...0Mahindra.aspx

For being such a big company, Mahindra probably has the worst website i've ever used. It is ugly as poop and slow. It took me a half hour for that page to load.

This was sent to us today, Mahindra is Certified and the agreement is not terminated

GLOBAL VEHICLES EXCITED BY
MAHINDRA’S EPA CERTIFICATION ANNOUNCEMENT
ALPHARETTA, GA - Mahindra just announced that it has received long
awaited EPA certification for the pick-up trucks it plans to import into the
United States by the end of this year. Moreover, Global Vehicles remains
committed to distributing vehicles to its dealers under the terms of its
agreement with Mahindra as expeditiously as possible through the ongoing
litigation between the parties or otherwise.
Mahindra has posted on their website a press note claiming its relationship
with Global Vehicles has been terminated. This claim is inaccurate. While it
is true Mahindra attempted to terminate the exclusive Distributor Agreement
with Global Vehicles after Global Vehicles filed an arbitration demand
seeking to compel Mahindra to deliver vehicles to its dealers, such attempted
termination is invalid under applicable laws of the United States and the State
of Georgia, something which Mahindra continues to disregard.

They don't have to recognize our laws, unless they want to do business here . . .

Mahindra kind of reminds me of when I was a kid and tried to play checkers against my older brother- I always lost, eventually it got to where as soon as it was obvious I wasn't going to win I'd yell "I quit!". I'm surprised Mahindra is being so childish.
