Good idea, Pee Wee. Team BHP is a great resource for Mahindra info (and the India car scene in general. It would be nice to have a category for reviews.

MTF may become the only outside source of honest opinion on Mahindra vehicles since Mahindra (not GV) is now trying to shut down MahindraPlanet.com. The more info we get, the better.

Generally one trip to the dealer and it was corrected, but if I take anything from their comments it makes me think that these trucks might not be that strong in the quality control and electrical system reliability area. On the plus side, the local dealers seem to be doing their part, and none of the owners were sorry they'd bought the vehicle.
The eletrical problems may not be a big deal. I bought a 1981 Mazda GLC, a 1983 Mazda truck and a 1987 Mazda 626. All three had the exact same carburation problem, and all were fixed under warrently and otherwise trouble free (Well, I did not have the GLC long, but I had the truck for 11 years and 626 for 13 years). I do not mind one time problems that are fixed for free and stay fixed.

Do we even want to know what kind of monkey business they're up to now? If They-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named harnessed all their wandering energies and put them to bear on getting product to market, we might all be driving TR20's and TR40's and telling our friends how much we like Indian manufactured goods- instead we're thinking things like "I don't want to associate with or encourage that kind of thinking or acting", I'm going to buy a Ford.
