I e-mailed fuelleconomy.gov and asked if Mahindra/GV ahd submitted any information on certification yet. Got this

Dear Mr. Callimachus,
Thank you for your email. We have not seen any certification data for Mahindra or Global Vehicles so I would suspect that they have not certified them with the EPA yet.

Sincerely,
Fuel Economy

Just also got an answer back from the EPA:

Hi Joe- I don't believe they have been certified, but Mahindra would bethe best source to get that information from, since its their vehicles.

Note that this is the person that Mike spoke to back in February.
I am just totally confused by this process. If Mahindra has to certify them with the EPA, wouldn't you think that they would have known if they did it?

Right now I have a two monitor system. One desktop is the TR20 and one is the Equator. GV is stressing me out. I'm about ready to kick the dog again.

Way to go Mahindra.....I'm starting to feel like Charlie Brown when Lucy was always pulling the football away as he was trying to kick it. Each time she'd promise she wouldn't pull away and Charlie Brown would fall for it...

The 2-3 weeks comment came from India.
. . . but I honestly believe that the current delays are not entirely their fault. Mahindra needs to make a plan and give us a realistic timeline. SOON!
Off my soapbox…
I don't blame GV for any delays, because I don't have that kind of information. I also believe Mahindra is possibly making things more difficult for GV and themselves when they make statements like the 2-3 weeks comment. Possibly there is a problem of cultural differences when it comes to our trying to hold a company accountable for their statements. My focus was on the fact that GV is the representative in this country, and it all comes back to them even if they didn't start it. Keep quiet when you need to, speak up when you need to. I'm not going to go back in history to dredge up things that they said that they shouldn't have, but they are in a position to represent the brand both before and after the launch, and I think even now they are doing less than the job calls for in the area of public relations.
