Guys, it's just not gonna happen in the bed unless, maybe, a small dirt bike. I'm sucking it up and getting a landscaping trailer. A 5200 lb. axle w/ 6 lug wheels custom build of a 6' x 10' (including the drop down in back) is 1750. As it pulls behind the current jeep too, I'm already moving forward on it.

Come on guys, I'm disappointed! Pics of the rides!!!! What better excuse can you have!!!

Hey Lonnie, that seems to be a lot of money for a trailer. My Local Farm equip store( can't think of the name) have 6x10 for $750. You may take a look at your local store.
Cheers
David

Don't forget to take a look at what is available used. With the economy being as it is I was able to pick up a 10ft Wells Cargo enclosed off of Craigslist for $1100. It was from a failed local painting business and came outfitted with an exterior ladder rack and interior shelving that I was able to take out and sell for an additional $200. Now I have a $900 trailer that houses the bikes from the elements and is big enough to hold my Yamaha Rhino if needed.

David, I linked it from one of my websites, but if you have a photobucket or other photo sharing site, that will work for you too.

And yeah , that's quite expensive for a trailer that size, but there's a bit of a reason for that. The normal 6' x 10' trailer has 3200 lb. axles and a GVWR of, hrmm.. can't remember exactly, but something like 2700 lbs. Right around there anyway. This trailer is beefed up, with 5200 lb. axles, 16" 6 lug rims and tires, and extra structural support in the bed, frame, hitch, and even the drop down ramp.

I haul hay on a 1 ton dually, and hope to replace that truck with the Mahindra. Given the max tow rating, I wanted to be able to tow a trailer with hay loaded right at the max tow rating. 50 75 lb. bales is 3750 lb.s, and the trailer will weigh right at 1200, leaving it at max load just under max tow rating. I occasionally been stupid in years past, and hauled 70 or even 80 bales on the old Ford flatbed, which might explain why my dually rims are bent and I've had to beef up its axles over the years.

jrel85, I've looked in the used market, but of course the weight rating I'm after in a 6' x 10' is somewhat unusual. I want a single trailer to not only haul the bikes, but also hay and all the other things I haul with that 1 ton truck.

Can't wait to see a Mahindra. What would be really cool is to have the same rims/tires on both the truck and trailer, so the spares are interchangeable. Of course we just don't know what the bolt pattern is yet, so who knows. I *might* get lucky, but I bet not .

Oh well, rotors can be drilled!

By the way, jrel85, that seems like it was an awesome deal, and I'm jealous!!

Hey Pete sounds like the GVWR, truck and cargo. I'm looking for the maximum truck, cargo and trailer weight. CGVWR.

oops. Haven't seen another rating, just the GVWR and a separate tow rating of 5000 lb. I guess it's another spec we need to wait to hear about.
