Default Hi all...

Register to stop seeing this ad!

The waiting continues.

I 'chatted' with the dealership in eastern NC a couple months ago. I asked him about the emission control. He wrote that he knew of SCR/urea injection but did not know if it also had a regeneration cycle. Anyone else know about it?

Default Welcome

Hi CSW and welcome. I believe the system will have both SCR and regenerative PT systems. At least the initial vehicles. No problem if you run the ULSD fuel.........Add biojuice and you are at risk.

I guess/hope it will not be long and the guys who provide tuners for diesels will have one for the TR series soon.

I'm betting the lean burn engine will need to regen the particulate trap less often also. Therefore, low blends of biojuice probably will not be a problem.

But, there will be a warranty you must comply with etc.

Good luck..........J

Hey Sean.

It was nice chatting with you. We still don't have an answer. It's amazing how tight lipped Mahindra has been with any info on the trucks. You'd think they'd communicate more with the dealers.

Matt,

Just curious. I see that many dealers have "Internet Managers." What does an Internet manager do? Is this usually a full time position or in addition to other duties?

C! Mahindra NC! Welcome to the forum! Looking forward to the ever widening group of folks we have here desperately searching for information on our shared obsession!
C, regarding regen, from what I know of the particulate trap technologies out there, they all use a regen of some type to clean the trap. The newer systems are MUCH better than the flame-spitters Ford had w/ the 6.4. I'd have to bet that the US TRs will have regen as well. (Either that or we're all gonna be under our TRs every so often changing/cleaning real expensive metal filters...)

cheers!

Joe,

My job is half babysitter half tech guy. I run the internet department for our Chevrolet and Mahindra dealership. That means keeping up with all of our online inventory, dealing with online vendors such as Reynolds & Reynolds, Cobalt Group, Cars.com, Autotrader, etc. I manage our overall online presence via Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube. I'm also involved with all the incoming sales leads for Cars, Autotrader, and anything dealing with Mahindra. I started from scratch the MahindraNC.com website as well as a few other local websites aside from the main dealership websites. I respond to all customer leads via email, phone, facebook, twitter, youtube, or carrier pigeon and am basicly "on the clock" 24/7.

Here is an article about us that appeared in Automtive News a few months ago.

Default Mountain Man Mahindra update

I am way too familiar with Greenville having gone to ECU and being from Kinston. Too many nights on 5th street....

As for what's going on, that's the million dollar question. A few months ago GV-USA sent out a video from John Perez. It was basically a "State of Mahindra" type video. I sent the link to all the people on my contact list only to find that GV had pulled the video. I uploaded the video to Youtube and resent it out to my list only for the next day to have GV call and demand it be taken down. They claimed in the video that starting in January they'd be updating us EVERY week with another video giving any updates. It's now late March and we've not heard anything from them until......

TODAY! We are still waiting on the official launch date announcement to come but we had reps from Mahindra USA (tractor division) in today and when asked they would only say not to worry, everything was good, and we'd "definitely have truck on the lot within 90 days".

Like I said it was from someone in the tractor division of the company BUT it's still good to hear anything positive from someone within Mahindra.

You guys feel free to call 1-800-895-1224 or email me at sales@safewaychevrolet.com if you have any questions.
