this post includes a couple of pictures of what look like the TR40 that we'll be getting. I wish the quality was better, but you can get some details from it. No hooks, our steel rear bumper, etc.

I saw this yesterday too. I am not sure what to think of this since it was spied in India. It may be a nearly production model for the US since they will be built there but then again it may be something for the Indian market since the US bound trucks are being tested here.


Still its nice to see a new picture and that definately is a more substantial bumper on the truck.

Pickuptrucks.com has some better pictures of it. Fatter, uglier bumpers and no bed hooks.

It isn't for the Indian market because it has "left hand drive" printed on the tailgate, and they drive on the wrong side of the road in India.

I gotta say, it has that early production smell to it. Does anyone know if other countries require a high-mount third brake light? I don't recall seeing (or maybe noticing) it on other photos of Mahindra pickups. That might be another clue...

I'll be waiting a little while (maybe 18 months or so) since I am poor until my wife can finish school and work full time again. Once that happens it is my turn for a vehicle and unless something major changes in those 18 months it'll be a Mahindra TR40.
