Unhappy Some Hope, Then Despair

When the e-mail arrived stating M&M had finally completed the EPA process and late 2010 trucks might actually appear . . . that was a great feeling.

Started thinking maybe there will be something to purchase (beyond a too big, gasser Toyota) without having to wait another two/three years for a possible Ford Ranger or Jeep mid-size Pick-up.

Then, this thread starts with "Mahindra’s relationship with Global Vehicles Inc (GV) has ended" . . . not how the legal fight was expected to go.

M&M needs real dealerships. I'm not going to purchase a new (unknown quality) vehicle from a light tractor dealer . . . some uncrate the box, add oil, and sell accessories retailer. Without GV the likelihood of real dealership support for a late 2010 or 2011 purchase is very questionable.

Guess I'm back to waiting for another manufacturer to sell an acceptable mid-size as it's even more doubtful Mahindra's will make the cut.

M&M seems to be too stupid to see that the best thing they could do for their own interests is to get their manipulating hands off the operations here, and let GV do the job they were contracted to do.
I don't believe that the people running m&m are stupid so much as they are arrogant. They take arrogance to a new level.Like I said before, they are third world and deal mostly in the third world.Their everyday tactics/antics isn't getting it here in the USA.It will come back and bite them in the a$$.Two years ago,one year ago I was more then ready to buy a tr40.When they started with the delay/excuse/lawsuit by GV,that did it for me.With all of the groundwork and dealerships locked in they want to drop GV like a bad habit and take over.I see it as a prelude to bullsh!t happening to the dealers, and hence the customers.

TOo bad as i was really looking foward to working on them.
If GV is dealing with dealers then this wouldn't be on Mahindra would it?

Mahindra did all right with their tractors i'd bet they could handle trucks on their own as well.

They have a signed contract with GV to do the dealership network, and supply vehicles to sell. The equipment and parts and training is the responsibility of m&m I believe since they make the vehicles etc.GV has set up the dealer network and brought a lawsuit against m&m for not supplying the vehicles to sell, maybe that included any special equipment that is needed as well.

Apart from possibly the lawsuit, this seems like the biggest news we've had in a year. I'm kind of surprised no other info has come out yet. Seems like M&M REALLY doesn't want us to buy any trucks.
