Hmm, Wonder if they figured a way to take the bull bars off the front bumper.

After alot of thought I have decided to wait a couple of years to see how Mahindra's customer service is going to be. Considering the nearest dealer will be 2hrs away, and when my wheels are not turning I don"t make any money. The have almost doubled the price before even hitting the sales lot. What they first got my attention with was a $13,000.00 truck (4x2) that gets 40 mpg, they now want $22,000.00. Thats way too much for an unproven truck, not to mention this companies lack of communication and how that may come into play if I need a fuel pump ect....At this point I have decided to get a small car which I can do about 90% of the work I need to do in, and keep the gas hog 4.0 Ranger.Maybe a Hyundai Accent at 37 mpg? So for now Mahindra is off my list...

I find it interesting that two people say they have no interest in the truck are still in this forum.

I am one of the people who does not factor a truck's looks in decision making, but I am glad they got rid of the bull bars.

Default Still sittin' here on this fence.

I'm not out, but then I'm not in either. I'm going to wait until I have to make a decision and hopefully there will be trucks to test drive at the local dealer. By then an actual price will have been announced. The service center locations will be open, and the actual warranty will be official. Fuel economy numbers will be released as well, also the crash test results should be public.
At that time I may choose to buy something else, but it will be an informed decision. Please don't take offense, but I'm not going to base a big decision on something I heard on some forum- anybody can say just about anything and not have facts to back it up. Also, there is a bit of anonymity here so that someone could be a Global Vehicles employee or work at a Chevy dealer, and not disclose that fact while putting out positive or negative comments.
I stay up with this forum partly for information and partly for the entertainment value, so go ahead and rant and rave- it just makes it better.

I am not out, if time was a factor for buying a truck maybe, but it isn't for me. Since I will be looking for another vehicle that can do some work, this thing would be perfect. Speculation of other manufactures have been thrown around, but no pictures or intents have been stated about bringing a small diesel from any of the American automakers. To me, I won't settle for a vehicle that doesn't meet my standards, so I will continue to wait.

I'd have to agree, I am not ruling anything out until I can see it and test it first hand. I like that some of the existing car companies are thinking of smaller trucks and unibody trucks, not that a unibody wouldwork for me (I need payload capacity more than towing) but they'll be great options for a lot of people who just need some ground clearance, 4x4 and room to haul bulky but not heavy things.

You're one of the few then. You're a marketing anomaly or full of BS.

The poll was 'fugly' not slightly unattractive. If it were the poll would have been even more heavily weighted. Maybe a better poll would have been: If you think it's fugly would you still buy it?
