You can be a fan of something AND make money at it. I was an AMSOIL user and fan for over 10 years before I decided to actually turn that knowledge into a business to support my wife and 3 kids. Now I'm an AMSOIL Dealer and enjoy the heck out of the business and the people I get to meet.

My two cents, and not because I'm a "moderator", because I like the place. I didn't know Andy from Adam (I'm still not sure where Idaho is) , but am interested in the topic, and he was kind enough to send out some free stickers one time when I asked, just 'cause. He didn't ask for a thing in return. He has a good site, good clients, free stuff, = good people in my book. We chatted a couple times and I flipped him $30 for membership. The moderator thing came about 'cause I'm a post-whore...
I hope he is making $ on the site, it's what he does. It's a fun place and I'm glad to be part of it. (and no, I don't get paid a dime (not even in stickers, which is cool 'cause I think I have 6 now and no idea where to put all of them.))
Oh, and Chuck, been meaning to tell you. That concentrate you sold me boosted Blue's fuel mileage by 1 mpg! PS never did a thing for me! I don't drive her as much now that the weather has warmed up, but next time I need the additive, you'll get the call! (And yeah, I'm telling other diesel owners about your products!)

When I paid the membership fee it never even entered my mind if you like trucks or not. Usually when someone is as passionate about something as you are it is usually because they like it. If you or anyone else can pull off a site like this about something you hate, then bring it on.

As far as pictures of girls, there are "FREE" pics (porn) all over the internet. I would never think of paying a membership to a Mahindra Truck Forum if I wanted to see pictures of girls anyways??????

Maybe I missed something but hey man I hope you retire off the earnings of this site you deserve it.

Here are a couple of other things I almost never think of:

I wonder if the person that poured my coffee this morning even likes coffee & and if not are they profiting from my purchase?

I wonder if the guy who sold me that pair of shoes really like shoes or does he rip his off his feet in hatred once he punches out. And if he does hate shoes how could he profit from the purchase of mine?

I wonder if the guy who took my ticket stub at the movies likes the movie I saw or any movie for that matter. I mean I had fun and the entertainment was worth the price but I just got to know more about the guy at the theater?
