Dick, no worries, your tax dollars will be paying for free access to that section soon
![]() On every forum and site that I run we give free access to everyone. However, the website's are part of a business model that have overhead, bills to pay and mouths to feed. So, for the members that pay for upgraded memberships where we give them stickers, get rid of all the Google ads, etc... we also give them a forum section where we try to throw extra perks at them from time to time. All the information, and cool discussions are 100% available and open to everyone that registers.

"On every forum and site that I run"
Full disclosure. Name them all. I'd like to know if you're in this strictly for the money, or for the truck, which is the impression I have. I run Big Dicks Place but that should be common knowledge around these parts. Last edited by DickIsGone; 04-14-2010 at 10:04 AM. |

Domain info is avaliable to the public through a reverse lookup...
Registrant Search: "DA Enterprises, LLC" owns about 294 other domains Email Search: is associated with about 93 domains DA Enterprises, LLC | Web Design, Social Networking, Vinyl Stickers daenterpri@gmail.com - Google Search Personally I generally try and help out the forums I frequent. $30 for 'lifetime' is cheap. Generally $15-$30 per year is the going rate for a 'premium' forum membership and many forums still have trouble paying the bills. Generally it's the high traffic ones with no real sponsors. Pay per click BS isn't enough to pay the hosting anymore. EDIT - Looking through some of Andy's domains - Good job! You own some darn good ones! Must have got in early huh? To answer your question, I am in this for both the truck and the money. I love trucks, particularly diesel's, and my wife really enjoys being fed. Eventually a site like this will take almost all my time to manage and more than my house payment in server fees to run. MTF is part of my company, which relies on several different sites, web design and consulting to pay the bills. Large community sites that operate without income can only go so far. By running it like a business, Mahindra Truck Forum will be sustainable. Mahindra Truck Forum will always be free to use. clubgitmo - Thanks buddy! I've been at this a little while. Some of my domains were for crazy hair-brained ideas, and others I will eventually get around to doing something with.

I sure don't want to go down a "flame-out path" but you know what? I'm so stinking sick of folks wanting everything for FREE. Is there no one left who understands that EVERYTHING you do costs SOMEONE. Good-stinking-grief, have the socio-crates infiltrated our humble sanctuary? |

I'm usually all about free when it comes to getting information on the web, but when I find something really worthwhile to me I don't mind helping support it. Before the forum started, I was doing Google and Yahoo, etc. searches sweeping around for information on the Mahindra Appalachian trucks. The minute I saw the forum had started I joined up, and it didn't take me long to decide to do my part in keeping it going, since it gives so much back to me in information- the entertainment value has been a bonus. There was already an official website for Mahindra trucks, but I get way more out of this site. Keep up the good work, Andy. |
