Ok, I keep seeing people mention "TACO" as a truck? What in the world is a Taco truck?!

Default Taco truck

you know, they often have a stainless steel box on the back, hot plates and coffee dispensers, they are assembled in Mexico and are the smallest Toyota pickup trucks. The enchiladas aren't bad, either.

Aha! Thanks for clarifying. I was trying to figure out what it might have been short for. I guess Tacoma was obvious

The Taco is the best looking truck out there (not sure how it tastes ) but on Edmund and other review websites every other reviewer is complaining about transmission slippage and uncomfortable seats. I drove one recently and they are right about the seats, hard as a rock.

they are due for a full overhaul. I have heard 2012 about 30 different times so I am guessing later this year as a 2012 model or maybe in 2012 as a 2013. Toyota themselves have said they are releasing a slew of new or updated models over the next 24 months.

I am sure it will get much more efficient motors and tranny's, hopefully they start addressing the size and weight of the trucks.

In my opinion Toyota has focused more on the Tundra and it's cars and put the Tacoma on the back burner now for about a decade.. Since Chevy and Ford are working on a uni-body truck (even though they bash Honda's uni-body truck) I still say the Highlander would make a great platform to put build a light truck on. That 3.5 is a gas sipper....
