I currently love my 1979 Toyota BJ-43 (converted to a 44) with the 3B diesel engine and the aftermarket turbo. Problem is I'm afraid keeping the rust off it here in S.E. Florida is gonna be too much work. I don't want to see it rust out eventhough we've had the frame off and covered everything in epoxy and Line-x there's still spots that seem to get attacked. So I'm selling it to a specialty dealer in Arizona and using that money to get a TR-40 which I hope to keep until the wheels fall off.

Default Forgot Suzuki!

I own an '88 Samurai, a '96 Tracker (GM-badged Sidekick) and an '02 Tracker ZR2 4-door (GM rebadged Grand Vitara) - all 4x4s.

There is also the Suzuki Equator pickup...

(yes, I am a blatant Suzuki fan - except for the Equator which is just another hum-drum mid-sized Nissan Frontier pickup...)

Waiting on the Mahindra as I love diesel technology and economy but currently:
1983 VW Quantum Turbo Diesel (160k on the body 10k on the brand new 1.6 crate motor) this is my daily driver
2000 Ram 2500 quad cab 4x4 long box 24v Cummins 80k original (spent winters in Texas prior to my purchase last spring)
1988.5 Suzuki Samurai 4x4 rust free 85k, waiting on vw diesel swap
1985 VW Golf diesel 1.6 N/A with 130k going into the Sami
1985 Chevy El Camino perfect condition purchased from the original owner with only 70k

Welcome JRE! A certified diesel nut. Very cool!
So ya gonna put a Duramax in the Camino?
