Default Mini Hauler Pickup Trucks

Register to stop seeing this ad!

Has anyone seen these little pickup trucks called Mini Hauler's? They are pretty cool looking! It looks like a car mechanic in my town is selling them. They are made in the Philippines and are supposed to get 45-70MPG! In our state, they are able to be road legal as long as you don't take them on the freeway.

I THINK this is the national distributors website: Mini Hauler USA - Fully Refurbished and Customized Japanese Kei Class Mini Trucks

Here are some pics:

There are a couple of places you can get similar things like this here in Boise. I think they are limted at or around 35-40 mph as part of their certification. they'd be great for farm use or business use on site.

Gaining in popularity down here. The Air Force and contractors are utilizing them for on base transportation. A local boat manufacture even uses them to move boats around on the lot and launch/recover.

I saw them as a student at BSU for the campus facilities maintenance crew. They worked well adn could easily fit where a "truck" couldn't. They used Zap Xebra electric trucks so there was no noise for students or pollution from driving around on the side walks.

Actually, Dodge did a similar thing with the A100, as did Corvair - except having the engine in the rear meant you didn't have a flat bed. This was all in response to the p/u version of the VW Microbus.
