ICON: Brand new CJ3’s and FJ’s

A friend sent me a link to these guys this morning. All I can say is “incredible”. ICON is building brand new Willy’s CJ3B’s and Toyota FJ’s. All new parts, new GM LS V-8’s and Ecotech 4-cylinders. The founder, Jonathan Ward, is a renown Land Cruiser restoration expert and was actually contracted by Toyota to build driving prototypes of the FJ Cruiser in 2007. These things are amazing: ICON

We have discussed these on here before. Apparently they take an existing chassis and essentially put all new everything back on and use the old VIN to bypass any emmissions requirements.

They certainly are capable and look really cool. They must be wonderful to drive with the power of a new LS3. Hopefully they don't get in any trouble with the whole VIN thing like that other builder in Oklahoma who was recently busted for falsly using old VIN's. I am sure its a fine line they tread.
