Default Nissan building Titan replacement alone

Register to stop seeing this ad!

Americans love their large trucks and Nissan is committed to stay in the full size pickup truck market even though Titan sales have been dwindling down. To be able to compete against the Big Three, as well as Toyota, Nissan has to work on a Titan redesign and quick.

According to an article at USA Today on Monday, Nissan is reportedly developing a replacement for the Titan by itself after Chrysler backed out from their agreement to trade platforms early on.

"We're pretty much going it alone," says Nissan spokesperson Scott Vazin.

Meanwhile, their factory in Canton, Mississippi will continue producing the Titan until its replacement is ready to be released.
